RMP was initiated 1976 by professor Lennart Wetterberg and the pharmacist Anna-Lisa Mouchard. The main task of the association is to give support and information to the patients with porphyria and do so through a telephone for the members to call for advice.
RMP participates in the information of the hospitals in Sweden to make it possible for the carriers of porphyria to share the progress made in porphyria research and to see to it that they get correct treatment.
